The AFB chapter met in the park
The power was out the streets were dark
Emergency rooms were filled with disabled
Cause people hit their shins on their coffee tables
No one else knew what to do
But the AFB members came through

The ice cream was melting so they served the town scoops
The dogs needed walking so they picked up the poops
Dirty dishes piling; Taxes needed filing

Flower arranging; oil needed changing
Weddings needed planning; peaches needed canning
They built a little league diamond right where we're standing

I'm trying my hand at injecting "tall tales" in an effort to avoid cliche lines.

Hi James

I think you had me from the opening reverse "Purple Haze" tri-tone riff. Lots of fun and especially liked the Little League diamond line.

There's definitely a place for the "tall tales" type of songs. If nothing else it really makes you put together a lot of images one wouldn't normally juxtapose.

Yes, that's where my "experimenting" is taking me these days.
