Spam is a pink reconstituted mashed up meaty substance made from (mostly the bits of) pork (you wouldn't eat if you knew what it was). Staple diet of the Brits during the 1940' 50's 60's and early 70's. I think you can still get it but I haven't really looked for a long while.
