The only female that I know (knew?) who plays guitar is my first 'sweetie' of about 45 years ago. I talked to her last year and at that time she had started taking lessons again. She absolutely refuses to let me hear her play :(
From what I can remember, she has long fingers and can do the stretches that a classical guitar player needs to do.
I am at the point now where I believe playing guitar with another person would give me a logarithmic boost in learning - I'm just trying to find someone who might be interested in getting together to jam. It doesn't really matter what instrument the other person plays.
I am not a chauvinist by any means, and I respectfully admit that I think a female playing a guitar is the ultimate in sexy :D
Have a safe and pleasant day.

When I was a kid taking lessons in Catholic school (it was a co-ed school) back in the '70's, every guitar player for mass was a girl. I haven't kept up with any of them, but my guess is only a few still play. Of the folks I know personally now, I know only two female guitarists. On the other hand I know like 6 pianists, 3 flute blowers, a cellist, 3 violinists and two drummers that are gals.
Besides the lovely ladies on this forum , { looking for brownie points }
I only know 2 ladies who play guitar ...
I tried to get my daughter playing and my wife but they both said " Nah its' hard "

As good as you are and as bad as I am
I'm as good as you are as bad as I am
I guess I was pretty sexist about "gals 'n guitarzz"...until I heard Bonnie Rait quite some time ago.
Geez, fellas...she's actually jammed with Jeff Beck, fer cryin' out loud!!!

Bonnie is incredible. Check out Roy Orbison's Black & White Concert to see and hear her sing.
Have a safe and pleasant day.
