Here's an idea...

Our summer's comin' up and I GUARANTEE to one and all the The Gold Coast has the finest beaches and amenities on the planet...and our dollar's about 66¢ USA at the moment. Maybe some enterprising travel agent could set up "a gathering"??? It'd be a blast!

Just a passing thought. It might take a couple of years to really get it together...but time sure do fly!

But where's the beach??? :(

You live near Newk???

There's a BIG Blues Festival held in Byron Bay, too.

...You live near Newk???

Naa ... Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, Cat.

Just 'having a lend of you', mate. :)

Although I think there are some nice beaches around Newcastle as it is on the coast.

Me = Dummy...

I shoulduh looked at your info on the post. Sorry!

Know Katoomba well enough. When I was first in Oz (Cremorne/86) I hiked all through the Blues. My buddy actually was the guy that found the Wollemi down below Katoomba up some remote gorge.

Yeah...there're beaches out to the coast from you...but I hope you aren't TOO offended when I say The GC has just about everything! The GC Indy's on and out mayor has entered a querry into council to see if they would permit "topless patrons"! Imagine that!!!!!

Still...it shouldn't be too hard to put something together in time. Maybe during Nimbin's Mardi Grass???

My wife and I spent a couple of weeks up there earlier this year looking at apartments in Surfers Paradise (for the weekend) and houses in Brisbane (for the working week).

As soon as the last of the kids (one to go) is out of school, we'll be up there.

Australia is one of the places I have always wanted to see. If I had some time to save up (seeing as how the cost of plane tickets now equals that of a small car) I would love to go to a GN get-together there. :)

All my life I wanted to be somebody. Now I see I should have been more specific.

Hey, gal...we're tucked away on this planet so far from everything that we get overlooked...MUCH to our relief!

My own curiousity led me here...and from my first visit I intended to "one day" move here. BEST move I've ever done, too! The music scene is quite in yer face, too. Hey...LOOKIT all the world class acts that have come out of this place!!!

We're trying...slowly but surely...to get a Recording Label up and running: studio/accomodation/distribution/A&R Development...the whole nine yards.

But I gotta say that a country's really nothing but dirt/trees/&whatnot...so it's the people that make or break a place. Yanks (and Southerners!!!) feel quite at home here. Aussies are GREAT!
