Young musicians aren’t saying anything that the older guys didn’t say already. – the young ones are all looking backwards! At least the old guys sounded new when they were new….

I know Martin admires Jimi Hendrix, and I appreciate that. He had that original psychedelic, bluesy, sound that people hadn’t heard before. But nobody could get that crunching Rock sound like Martin. Everybody talks Aqualung, but how about My God, Wind up, Minstrel In The Gallery, Black Satin Dancer, Coronach, The last song on Passion Play, Jumpstart, Steel Monkey, Back Door Angels, Motoreyes, This Is Not Love, and the list goes on. Nobody could play a riff like Martin, and follow it up with a searing lead. Greatest guitar player ever!!!!
