Miyuki (The One) presents us with her first solo album. Here she plays keyboards and does beautiful vocal harmonies as well as arranging and production. The album’s title comes from the participation of her longtime friend, Mick Taylor (The Rolling Stones).
Platypus is a commercial Progressive band. Not into orchestral arrangements, but rather into simpler, plain, yet good, arrangements.
What happens when you take four guys from popular bands and throw them into the studio together? This one is just an incredible effort.
I wouldn’t even attempt to categorize this music. Either they are very well-known musical geniuses, or these guys have escaped an insane asylum.
Although this album is very reminiscent of Creed, I still find that it stands out quite well on its own. Better in fact than Creed’s.
