I'd call this an advanced beginner song, the chords look alot harder than they are.
Wish I could remember where I got this one, heck it might have been from this sight.
The brain cells are leaking fast, gotta find a plug!
Anyhow it's not mine.

Tim

Just wanted to thank you for all your recent posts. Many of the songs I do not know, but this is one I do.

I do know Just a Closer Walk with Thee and When the Roll is Called Up Yonder. :D

But thanks, you have been really busy.

Thank you :!: Wes. Yes I have been busy, if you knew how much I was getting paid to do this you'd cry. I've got over 100 tabs and about 90% of them are easy. Most are oldtime Gospel. I hope to post the Butter Bean song later. It's done to the tune of Just a Closer Walk With Thee, it's a laugh riot

What?
Are you saying you're getting paid to post songs, or you've been paid to transcribe songs, and you just feel like posting them here?

I was at work posting most of the songs. I get paid for what I know, not what I do.

I've been trying to land a job like that for years. I just can't seem to convince an employer that I know anything. :D

I have found with my current employer that promotions always seem to go to people who know nothing ..

And since I know sweet bugger all about writting out tab and picking the right chord , then I think I would most likely to get the job , for the simple reason I actually do know nothing .

Where as Wes you actually do know lots about music

Thanks a lot for taking the time to post this.

I have a question about barre chords when using a capo:

For instance Gm in this song. Gm -if i'm not mistaken- is usually played as a barre chord. How does one play a barre chord when there's a capo involved? If one is to play it at a position relative to where the capo is, then effectively the open chords are transposed but the barre chord isn't. (Since strings are barred and the capo cannot do its *thing*). Do chords/tabs for chords that employ a capo take this into consideration?

Oktay

PS: Sorry if I seem to be using too many words to explain something simple. I tend to do that as I learned this language at school.

With the capo involved your playing a chord form not the actual chord. In this case with the capo at the 2nd fret you'd be playing the Gm form at the 5th fret. I play a Gm XXO333, in this case you'd be playing it XXO555 so you'd be 3 frets away from the capo. I hope I haven't confused both of us :?

Hmm...I play this differently, maybe not correctly but it sounds right to my ear.

Verses:
E B A E
E Am E E

Bridges: all barre chords
G#m A G#m A
G#m F#m Bsus4 B

Solo over Verse Chords, in fact I strum the chord then pick out notes of solo
