Yet another hint:High and Dry

One chord is fine.
Two you're pushing it.
Three and you're into jazz.

Is it "My Iron Lung" by Radiohead?

Nor this one.

Does sound vaguely familiar though.

Okay, so it's Pantera's "Cemetary Gates" ... uh, no, ... it's "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" ... wrong again ... uhm, uh ... :(

Not even close! :P

C'mon man, Pantera's Cemetary Gates is reasonably close, in concept at least.

I think it's BUCKETHEAD's "Hills of Eternity." If so, it's oddly coincidental that I was listening to the song Big Sur Moon from the same album just yesterday ... was trying to figure out some delay pedal settings and that one came up as an example. Kismet. 8)

Buckethead's "Hills of Eternity" is correct! :D
And yes, you were on the right track with the cemetery theme; Hills of Eternity is the name of a cemetery in Colma, Ca, (Wyatt Earp is buried there), and Colma is also the name of the album the song is on.
Big Sur Moon was going to be my next clue. :)

Know it, but I'll give someone else a chance. Don't want to be a riff hog!

I knew the band right away, but it took me about 2 hours to remember the name of the song. Man, I'm getting old...
I don't have anything ready to go, so I'll leave it for someone else.
:)
