. . . played my first live acoustic performance to a public audience! I played and sung "Wish you were here" by Pink Floyd and I actually found it a really interesting experience. It was incredibly nerve-racking, probably moreso than anything else I've ever done, but it was enjoyable too. I think this is something that will improve with time though!
I only did one thing wrong, which was I used the wrong word in one of the verses, but when I spoke to people afterwards nobody had noticed and indeed everyone thought it was a very good show. :D
An experience that's for sure . . . but now I think I'll be going back regularly! :)

Great feeling, isn't it??
Falling in love is like learning to play the guitar; first you learn to follow the rules, then you learn to play with your heart.
Good for you, Rob! Was this an open mic or something else?
Anyways, the first time's always the worst - and seeing as it went well, it'll be even better next time!
:D :D :D

Congrats on your first public performance!
I remember watching your videos, you were very good, so I'm sure your performance was great.
It is pretty normal to be very nervous in front of crowds at first. But as time goes on you will get very used to it and learn to relax.
So get out there and get more experience! :D

Congrats, first and foremost.
You said you'd be going back. Is this some kind of open-mic thing?

Yep I'll definately be going back again next week! Yeah, it's an open mic night so it's quite a relaxed atmosphere! Didn't use my own guitar though as I didn't have anyone with me to look after it while I wasn't at the chair, so just used one of the ones the pub owns. It was still nice to play actually. :)
