rain
i hope and pray this day will change
the sun it shines but forever rains
can we let this rain fall down
but never let it hit the ground
i try and try again its true
but only make it half way through
i'll never stop trying....x2
chorus
rain falls down....from the dark grey clouds
like you feel down..and sometimes out
i will do my best to make you feel alright
keep you with me through this cold wet night
i will..
i brush your hair away from your eyes
stroke your face and say goodbye
i'll kiss your lips with no regrets
promise that you wont forget..me
thanks for listening... gaz

Thats very good GAZ-UK, I think you have a real good song :D Hope you post the finished song, How long have you been playing? You Sing well also :D ---the dog
Excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed that. I can really get a feel for what it would be like with a bass and simple drum track.
It stands well on it's own, don't get me wrong! Very nice. Keep them coming.
hey dog,ive only really been playing for about 2 years properly,im sort of self taught so i have loadsa bad habits, but i guess its my own style,i dont really know if i could get a finished song up to be honest because i dont have drum/bass facilities, but i have an actual drummer and a bassist to start a band up with so maybe something can be sorted...thankyou for the kind words :D
"people laugh at me because im different...i pity you..because your all the same"
Good job, GAZ!!!

"I play live as playing dead is harder than it sounds!"
hey banre thanks a lot it means a lot when people say what they think,i was actually thinking the same thing along the lines of simple drum and bass,i think if i was to go further with the band im nearly in,something could be made of it
thanks again :D

GAZ,
Really nice man and you have a really good voice..reminds me of Coldplay or something similar, but very nice job.
Once you get the band sorted out I'd love to hear somemore.
"It's all about stickin it to the man!"
It's a long way to the top if you want to rock n roll!
Good job!
Nice! Very good, guitar sounds cool, you got a good voice. The song isn't really my style, but I like it. I'd love to hear it with a bass and drums also.
You know gaz, I was thinkin that this song might also sound good done as an acoustic number, just a thought  --the dog
yo dog..yeah i also would like it done acoustically but....i only use a microphone in front of my amplifier to record..and it sounds really bad with my acoustic...any suggestions??
gaz

What kind of mic do you have , do you use a mixer, and what software do you use :?:
its just a microphone that plugs into the back..a standard pc mic,and i just use audacity...and no i dont have a mixer or anything like that...
"people laugh at me because im different...i pity you..because your all the same"
That sounds really good for a PC mic :D What I did before I got a decent mic and Mixer was to record my acoustic ( I used audacity) and then run the low pass filter to remove some of the boominess( if that's your problem) I would record the guitar and vocal separately. mayby with the Holidays coming you can drop some hints  --the dog
GAZ .. I think I posted somewhere else that I liked this song, but figured I might as post something here too. I really really enjoyed this. IMHO ... you don't need to change a thing about it. Even the "gritty" recording gives it more character. I don't know if I listened to the "finished" version or not ... but it sounds good to go.
My favorite part was how you sang "me" on the end of "promise me you won't forget me" ... that part really stuck out in my mind after I finished listening to it. Maybe at the very end just another "Never stop trying" .. with just your voice and no music behind it ... hitting the "ing" the same way you hit the "me" I mentioned earlier. Fantastic job.
Can't wait to hear more from ya.
