Hey, man. Sounded good!!

"I play live as playing dead is harder than it sounds!"
Good perfomance man, is the wrist coming along a bit? Ifyou'd allow me to whine abit, I dont really like the sound of the bass and drum, both a bit thiny. Your guitarsound is most fitting and your vocals are good (like the occasional dubs!).
thanks for listening. the wrist had a good week.
bass and drums ...no like? they are midi and I don't know much how to manipulate them yet.
'thiny'...I would like your feedback. too weak? too low in the mix? help me out.
Ah, db, you'll have me on a week long reggae jag. 8)
Your vocals sound better every time out. By far, the most relaxed and confident you (and the backup singers  ) have sounded.
Love that little farfisa (sp?) organ as well.
Nice job!
:)
Don
good job!
i liked this a lot, please do some more reggae stuff.

boxboy...I told you I would reggae up soon. I had fun laying down the tracks . and that gives me an idea.
if I set up a long track, perhaps others would want to jam on them.
TL..I love playing reggae live. since you have requested I will record more. I have a few more favprites .
and then there is the world of Dub. now that would be some fun recording.
thanks for listening and the comments and critisms are welcome.
PS: I just remixed and posted
That sounds pretty good. The vocals sound pretty on to me. And the fact that you multitracked is pretty cool with lots of other instruments. I'm still trying to get good enough to track separate guitar and vocals.
Great Dogbite!
Reggae! One of my favorites rhythms! Please, I want to hear more! :D
A couple of remarks. I like very much the guitar fills. Great "clean" tone. The vocal "chorus" is good to my ears too. It gives more strength to those parts.
How is the wrist? It seems it is totally recovered!
Very Nice!
I didn't know I liked reggae !
Nice voice too
" First time I heard the music
I thought it was my own
I could feel it in my heartbeat
I could feel it in my bones
... Blame it on the love of Rock'n'Roll! "
Kool tune 8) I saw Peter Tosh do that in Chicago in 1977 8) Good job, liked the vocal a lot. I would love to hear this with a band :D
thanks for listening.
reggae: I love the genre. there are so many favorites it is hard to choose one for my next attempt. any suggestions? anyone want to join in?
mix: I continue to go back and remix this. I have not posted the results yet. I am having a hard time deciding about reverb on the guitars and vox. I find that reverb can add and take away . one thing, reverb adds to the output and a track will jump into the red quicker. after making adjustments the volume and quality are diminished. I have a few things to learn there.
vox: I am using my large diaphram condenser. CAD GXL2200. I hung baffles creating a space for me and the mike. I have been able to eliminate the room ambience a bit and the bleed from the monitors. I think I need headphones. with the monitor volume down I feel I can't put any power behind the singing as I drown out the monitor. I copied one vox rack and added a touch of lag. now it has a reverb effect and the vox sounds a bit fuller. one track has some reverb and the other has none.
guitars: my strat plus does duty here. rythym is all upstroke, bridge pup with a touch of chorus. I like the sound dry (no verb). but I have a mix with reverb. jury is out on that. the lead is all clean and straight in.
drum, bass, organ, clavi are all MIDI. I am struggling with some latency. I need to learn more about midi, but it sure is fun.
it may be time to step up and get a better drum vst, buy a bass guitar because keyboard bass doesn't cut it, get a mixing program.
when I record I like to think of myself in a band. I lay out the panning as a stage. I air guitar to my mix and jump around when because I get excited about all this.
wrist: slowly getting better. I wear a brace all day and when sleeping. there is a pinched nerve somewhere because I still get tingles when sleeping on my side. I can't open a stuck jar lid. trying feels like a knife stab.
after an a two hour recording session the wrist is sore and stiffens up fast. I work using my hands all week. that will slow healing. better but fragile is the final word.
so give me a reggae song to do. jah!
how 'bout "could you be loved"?

The song right after my favorite version of No Woman No Cry. http://music.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?z=y&WRK=6235708
