Over at my site. The sound isn't top class because I only have a cheapo nasty soundcard in this pc, but it gets me out there.

Debussey - Clair de Lune

Francisco Tarrega - Lagrima (from the Grade 5 Classical Guitar syllabus)

John Dowland - Lord Willoughby's Welcome Home (also from the Grade 5 syllabus)

Enjoy.

A :-)

Very nice AG - I learned "Clair de Lune" at school for recorder, so it's nice to hear it played properly!

The other two pieces I don't know, though Lagrima sounds vaguely familiar - they're all nicely played though...

One thing I very often hear on classical guitar playing - and on my acoustic playing as well - is that squeaky sound when you run up a couple of frets - is there no way to get rid of that, except using the same strings for months on end?

Again, very nicely played.....

:D :D :D

By spooky coincidence, the results for my Grade 5 turned up this morning and I got a Distinction.

Vic - you can get flatwound strings which reduce a lot of the noise when you're sliding up the strings but you also lose a lot of your tone. Segovia accepted string noise as going with the territory, so I guess if it's ok for him...
