very cool. that brings back memories. as a little kid I built a tiny receiver from household parts and a little store called radio Shack. I used a needle to rub against , I forget, and I could hear radio signals. my dad got me some headphones and I could hear the BBC from Europe. I was amazed.
my best friends dad was a ham operator. he told us the name of a tube for the radio. in radio slang it meant to have a beer, because the tube resembled a beer bottle. I forget the name.
good luck on your test!

Best of luck for your radio exam.

On a side note, my annual exams are coming up in which I hope to barely pass. Hope the GN luck will be on my side as it has been since last 2 years !

I meant Morse Code. No longer any keying requirements? That disappeared from Novice Class requirements a long time ago, and was very controversial. The "Old Men" of amateur radio considered it a travesty.

Good luck.

Did you pass?
