listening to an all Doors radio channel online and wow they have some amazing stuff besides the radio friendly songs ive heard a hundred times. Five to One has to be my favorite. Not much guitar besides some fills, mostly bass and organ in their stuff, but Morrison is such a creative poet and puts so much emotion in his singing. What are some other not-so-well known but brilliant Doors songs?

I don't know. I'm partial to "LA Woman".
Well we all shine on--like the moon and the stars and the sun.

Strangely, one of the very few Doors songs I don't like is one of their most popular (especially with producers of films about the Vietnam War!) - "The End" - is there a single film set in Vietnam that doesn't feature that on the soundtrack?
Favourite would probably be between "Light my Fire" "Roadhouse Blues" and "Riders on the Storm"....
:D :D :D

I own the "Best of" and there isnt a song I dont like.. But "Break on Through" has to be my favorite I think. I am not even sure why.

house of the rising sun ?
My favorite is definitely Roadhouse Blues - one of the Doors' rare ventures into straight-ahead bluesy rock 'n roll. As to "not so well known but brilliant songs," I'd say Soul Kitchen and 20th Century Fox.
I really dislike some of their meandering self-indulgent rambling-bad-poetry songs, especially The End and Celebration of the Lizard. (Just my opinion, of course; no offense intended to any die-hard fans.)
"Everybody got to elevate from the norm."
Rahul,
I think you're thinking of the Animals.

I love the Doors.
I can't decide, I love both LA Woman and Light My Fire. But I also love Roadhouse Blues, Riders on the Storm, People are Strange, Love Me Two Times....
If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
The Doors have some GREAT stuff, I'd go with People are Strange, but Light My Fire is comin' pretty close.
I'd say Break On Through and Love Her Madly 'cause of Forest Gump. It took me awhile to realize they where separate songs.
The End I like too.
Heck I'm with geoo, The Best of The Door is great. It's also a favorite in the "best ofs" for me.
"If I had a time machine, I'd go back and tell me to practise that bloody guitar!" -Vic Lewis
Everything is 42..... again.
Go Insane
Once I had a little game
I liked to crawl back in my brain
I think you know the game I mean
Well I mean the game called 'go insane'
Oohooh
Now you should try this little game
Just close your eyes forget your name
Forget the world, forget the people
And we'll erect a different steeple
This little game is fun to do
Just close your eyes, I'm going too
And I'm right there, no way to lose
Release control, we're breaking through
Once I had a little game
I liked to crawl back in my brain
I think you know the game I mean
I mean the game called 'go insane'
Ooohooh
This song fits me to a tee!
I love The Doors! This is my "top" favorite of many.
A little fact, Robby Krieger (guitarist) wrote, "Light My Fire," "Touch Me"
and "Love Me Two Times"
Just about anything off Strange Days, perhaps in particular - "My eyes have seen you" and "You're lost little girl".
It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!
I like everything on the first album, but I can leave everything after that.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way. - A.J. Muste
People are Strange - Oh, it's soooooooooooooooooooo true.
