Ken Tamplin and Friends

Now this is an album of straight rock that I really like. Great songs, played by great musicians. Tamplin also has a very interesting voice, slightly reminiscent of that of Tommy Shaw (Styx).

Rather than reinventing the wheel, Tamplin oils it and makes it turn well. With fabulous songs like The Man with a Plan and, my favorite, Falling Houses, this is an album that does not cease to please.

All in all there’s something for everyone on this album with Cell Phone Freaks, 7 Eleven People, Hare Kristians, everyone knows someone in at least one of these categories…

Tamplin usually makes his living through film music, so this is a sort of side project for him. One I hope will have brought him enough pleasure to experience again.
