Torn Between Dimensions – At War With Self

Torn Between Dimensions is three great musicians united for an epic moment in music: Glenn Snellwar (Gordian Knot) on guitars, mandolin and keyboards, Michael Manring (Attention Deficit and over 100 studio projects and a Grammy nomination) on bass and Mark Zoder (Fates Warning).

This album is great right from the very first note. Nothing wrong. Nada. Can’t think of a single negative thing I can say: it’s simply brilliant!

Melodic Progressive Rock with influences from various genres, this album takes you in many directions, but always smoothly carrying you in its wake. And although most of these songs could have lyrics, which would be nice at times, they’re not necessary. But if you miss them, add your own; the music is so well done that you won’t have any trouble figuring out what they’re talking about.

I could go on and on for hours talking about this album; the way these musicians play: beautifully, but without ever doing too much, or with the way the songs were composed, simply brilliant, or by the fluidity of the work, but nothing can equal the intense listening, no, I should say feeling, of the musical experience this trio gives you.

I strongly urge you to go to Glenn Snelwar’s website (http://www.glennsnelwar.com) and listen to The God Interface just to whet your appetite. But take my word for it, you don’t even need to do that: just buy the album direct.
