Which used bass amp would be a better choice ? Both will be around the same price $250-$300.00 .! The swr is a redface basic 350 rackmount ,tube pre, solid state power . 350 watts I think ? Kinda scuffed up ,not pretty , but should do the job .The marshall is a dbs 7200 . 200 watts . Excellent condition head .But supposedly 200 "Marshall" watts produces the equivalent of 1000 watts in a normal head .I'm a collector as well ,and would like to hope the amp I get keeps it's value somewhat . The marshall listed for $1200.00 when new circa 1997 . Rare possibly ? I used to own an Ampeg SVT early 70's model ,I should be shot for selling it !! I'm hooked on the nice warm tube sound ,but just need something for local gigs with my Rickenbacker. The amp will be sitting on a 2x15 or a 4x10 or 8x10 .Any help or input will be greatly appreciated ! 8) Thanks !!!!!

Tough choices. Personally, I'd take the SWR, as I like the tight sound you get from a SS power stage, and SWR knows bass amps.

For the same reason, I'd use a 4x10 cabinet.

I hope selling the SVT resolved a life-or-death crisis.
