Whats everyone's opinions on Schecters? I'm considering the C4 Elite or the Omen-4 as my first bass, mainly b/c of the price and the looks. I don't know a whole lot about basses yet. I've been playing acoustic guitar for about 6 mos. and i'm ready to explore the bass world now.

I like them and they look pretty good, too. I don't have one, but I've played them at the shoppes and would not mind having one. There was one with a two-tone natural finish that was just sweet, except for the strings. They had too bright of a sound, where I prefer a little more mellow, but hey, strings can be changed.
It is a small world for metal fanatics. I welcome you fellow musicians, especially the metalheads!
I bought an Elite-5 this summer and it's a fine bass but the sound isn't very original. It's a good bass to modify.
