i am preforming Greensleeves for a school project, and there is just this one chord, x123x1, i can never get it. What fingers do i put where, and are there any tips to play it. I'm still moderately a beginner, i know how to play notes and can read music, it just doesn't sound like the breath of an angel floating on the breath of an other angel's breath, yet.

But please, any help would be awesome!

This is bottom string to top string, right?

that is the strangest chord I have ever seen. it sounds awful when I play it note to note. are you positive that is the correct diagram?

It's backwards (or upside down if you prefer), written from high string to low. If you look at it like this:

1x321x you'll see that it's an F chord.

People will either play this as a barre chord (133211) with the index finger covering all the strings on the first fret, ring finger on the third fret of the A, pinkie on the third fret of the D and middle finger on the second fret of the G and just play the needed strings or they'll set it up as a basic Fmaj7 chord, using the index finger on the first fret of the B string, middle finger on the second fret of the G, ring finger on the third fret of the D and use the thumb to catch the first fret of the low E string.

I may be mistaken, but I believe this is all explained in the text in our lesson on Greensleeves / What Child is This here on Guitar Noise.

Hope this helps.

Peace
