my father has a Hondo II model number H125A, he has had it fir about 60 years , I know the sound gets better with years , the problem is , he took it to a guitar place to have it restrung. The owner said he accidentally knocked it over and broke the neck. he sent it out to be glued. My dad (83) does not feel comfortable with that . I don't know anything about guitars and can't find his online. will it be ok? should he request it to be replaced completely? do you know the value ? any information you could give would be greatly appreciated. It is sad that a family heirloom is not is the original shape, my dad took this with him when he was in the service and never got a scratch on it, gets it restrung and it gets broken. My dad is so upset and does not know what he should do. Thank you in advance
Try it and see what happens - ask the shop to replace the neck with a new one.
