Hi all,

Been playing guitar for about a month now and have learnt G,G7,C,D7,Am,Em so far.
Its probably a question thats been asked before but i would be grateful if anyone could give me a few well known songs to practice with.

I'm playing acoustic,my chord progression isnt great!!! but i'm enjoying myself so far!!

Thanks in advance.

How about Blowing in the Wind.

You can use D7 in place of D for a nice transition back to G.

Hi Dar and Welcome to GuitarNoise.

Go to the Easy Songs forum here. There are hundreds of easy songs listed there, enough to keep you busy for weeks. :D

And make sure to check out the lessons on the Home page. These lessons will get you off to a great start.

Wes,
This is probably a dumb question but -
I've been hanging around GuitarNoise for a few months now (since I started playing in early March) and I've seen several mentions of an "easy songs forum" or an "easy songs database".
I can't seem to find that.
Can you provide a link or tell me how to navigate to it from this forum?
Thanks!

I want to play guitar very badly -
and I do!

Here it is

https://www.guitarnoise.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=7&sid=8a8a5dcdd1e8f3b1c0266cd072167957

Alternatively, you can access it from the main menu through "Guitar Noise Forums Forum Index" >> "Easy Songs".

Enjoy.

Thanks Vic.
I figured out my problem and was coming back here to delete my post but I'll leave this in case it's of use to anyone else. The trick is that you have to be logged in to GuitarNoise for the Easy Songs forum to show up. I mostly just lurk and if I'm not logged in, Easy Songs does not show up. Now that I know I need to log in to see everything, I will do that more often!
