hey i'm learning some fingerpicking and when i do it my fingers leans on the guitar but my teacher tells me it's a wrong way. But i have also been told by someone else there is nothing wrong with it who's right.

I don't quite understand what you mean, I am guessing you are referring to ancoring your unused fingers on the face of the guitar?
Some would say that will ultimately slow you down, others do it all the time and claim no problem.
My hand floats above the strings when I play.
Bottom line, it doesn't hurt to get a second opinion from time to time but if you trust your teacher you should listen to him, if not you should find another teacher.
