Forgive the question frequency.

But what guitar books should I get?

Well mostly metal guitar.

But I've been getting very interested in classical guitar lately too.

Fast rythm, scales, arpeggios, and also music theory are what I'm wanting to get more hardcore with, but there's SO MANY books out there I'm not sure which ones are the best.

This is the book for you: "Learn to play Guitar" by Usbourne Music Guides.

This book is for beginners and teaches the basics of heavy metal and classic and every other type of music.

My little brother got it at his school library so maybe you might find a good guitar book at your local library.

The Complete Guitar - Richard Chapman, it has EVERYTHING in it.. not expensive, not a big book, but it does..

it has about the guitar, basic theory, advanced theory, how to play classical / rock parts.

best theory book ive ever read.

I don't know what your level of experience but as near as I can tell the books by Troy Stetina are among the best metal oriented ones around. It looks like they cover a good deal of theory as well as plenty of excercises of increasing difficulty. He has several books out but I was thinking of the series that has two volumes for lead and metal.

Metal Rythym guitar Vols 1 & 2 and
Metal Lead Guitar Vols 1 & 2

Do a search under Stetina at Amazon. Try to look at them in a shop or bookstore before you buy them though, to see if they're what you had in mind.

(I'm thinking of getting them myself, so I was just looking at them the other day.)
