How do I set up a guitar for Dropped C tuning?

I just bought an Epiphone Les Paul standard. Looove the guitar, but it doesn't hold dropped C tuning at all. When in the tuning, everything sounds real messy and I can tell the strings are just too loose. Any suggestions? Or do I have to take it in somewhere and have someone set it up for this tuning?
