i've been sitting down while playing since i've started and i just got a hold of one of those guitar straps (i don't know the right term). my question is how to hold an acoustic guitar while standing up. i've watched several videos and noticed many guitarists tend to have the guitar low..

When I play standing, the guitar is in nearly the same position as when I'm sitting.

It's much easier to play if it's situated where it is when you sit. That way tou don't have to relearn. Low guitars are for Freaks i.e. gorillas with long arms 8) 8)

Yes yes yes, position it as you would hold it sitting. You'll note that these guitarists don't sling it low. Use them as a model.
