I recorded myself today. Unfortunately, it was a shareware program so I could only record 30 seconds. Also, if anyone knows of something to host audio files (if there is such a thing) could you post a link? Thanks.

A lot of people use this site,
http://dmusic.com/
After you upload your sound clip post it in the "Hear Here" forum section.

OWA
You can download either Audacity or Kristal, for free, with no time restrictions. Both are very good programs - it's a bonus that they're free.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.

Well I can't find anything to host it for free so I give up for now. But I will check out those free recording programs. On the plus side, I managed to notice things while listening to the recording. That being that my amp needs to play more cleanly and so do I.

Great site, I use it, lots of others use it. Good for musicians. Audacity is a great program like Greyberad said. I use it, lots of others use it. Good for musicians ;)

Edit:

PS, your qoute, you have a typo in it (I'm talking about your signature) it's the "of" "or" typo.

Is Dmusic free? I signed up but can't find where to upload. Plus it says the basic package is $5 a month.

DMusic is free for the basic package. The $5 is the upgraded package. You need to go thru the steps of setting up the ID then use the band admin option to get to the music option and start uploading by using the ADD option under music.

By the way, they require it to be mp3's so if your program did not create an mp3 for you either find a shareware/freeware converter or download Audacity and import the sound file and export as mp3.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Audacity gets my vote! It is amazing... you can delete out the unwanted parts, loop the playback to solo over chord progressions, lay solos over progressions, no adware (BEWARE of some free recorders, one almost blew-up my Norton with all the spyware stuff it was trying to load). It seems too good to be true, I keep waiting for the program to say "time up... gotta pay now"

Another vote for Audacity.

Simply amazing, and free.

I use Audacity for guitar and final mixing, but I use Krystal for vocal recording.

I posted a link to my music under the 'Hear Here' section, assuming you haven't found the link already. I used Audacity to record the songs, I didn't mess with any of the editing functions yet.

hey onewing. thanks I found it.

so I ended up at dmusic. gave your playing a listen. I like the attitude in Bullet. has a mideastern feel in there. also it shows alot of chance taking. that's awesome. your picking feels more confident there.
the nirvana tune needs work. too much tentativeness on your picking.

Im hearing some trouble spots with your fingering...it's those unintentional mutes. but since you are so new I can easily overlook that; it's important , for me, to hear your feeling. it comes across well.

other wise...you go grrl.

I have a few things in mind that may help you. if I get a break at work I'l post them for you; I brought my beater guitar to work.

remind me if I forget.
