I believe it's called a Tremolo Bar. Anyway, I can't get the thing into my guitar. It came with my guitar and my teacher showed me that all you had to do was screw the thing into the guitar. Mine just won't go down. Any tips on how to get the bar into my guitar? Thanks!
It should just screw in clock-wise (right handed). Check the threads to make sure you didn't cross thread it trying to put it in.
That is with most models that I have come in contact with. My new Strat, you just push it in (it doesn't have threads).
It could be that the you got the wrong tremolo bar for your guitar. There are different thread sizes, I think. As Tracker said, it should just screw in (very easily) in a clockwise direction. If it doesn't, something's wrong.
Thanks guys. I'll try it a few more times and then I'll take it to my teacher if I can't get it in.
