What is the best way to get started playing the guitar. I would like some helpful tips and stuff that i would need( like guitar, what type of amp) e.c.t :note2:
Do you know anyone who plays? Having a mentor would help you get started. The answers to questions like "what kind of guitar should I buy?" and the like are almost always answered with "it depends." A mentor would help you answer those questions and guide you to the best way to get started.
If you are more of a self-starter or don't have access to a mentor, you might try one of David's Hodge's "Complete Idiot's Guide to..." series of books:

David is a frequent contributor here at the site, does the podcasts, etc. His books would be a great place to start.
