When I plug my cable into my bass amp, no sound comes out unless I apply pressure onto the cable jack. It requires constant pressure for the sound to continue through it.

I know it's not the cable (I've tried three different ones) and I'm pretty sure it's not the bass guitar since the the cable is pushed into the amp.

I would just like to know what is wrong and if I am able to fix it? And it's a pretty big 200 watt amp, so I'm a little intimidated about taking it apart. :?

Thanks for any help.

I would think that either the jack socket on your amp is bent out of shape or there is a poor connection to the socket.

In either case, if it's under warranty, take it in and have it fixed at the manufacturer's cost. If not, you can do it yourself, if you feel competent or pay a techie to do it.

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
