Hi!

I've learned a nice solo a couple of months ago, Wanted dead or alive, and there is some pinched harmonic in it which I still have difficulties to play... I wanted to know if you have any video that shows how to do that or maybe you have clear information that could help me.

Also, like you should know, there are many tab version of that song on the net and I took many pieces of different tab to play the solo like I could hear it myself... But I think I'm wrong at the end of it... here's a great guy who plays it mostly like I do, except the end.. And I think he plays it well and I want to know what does he play... Actually, I can't figure it out myself... So if anyone could help? :)

Here's what I play:

|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
|------------------------------------------------------------------------------------13--15-
|--------------------------------------------------------------------------12h14-------
|-------7/5--5/7--7--7--7--5/7--------------5b-5b-5b-5br--3-------------------
|-------5/3--3/5--5--5--5--3/5--3-5-5-3--------------------------------------------
|-12/------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

|--13--15b-15br--13--15b-------------------------------------------------------------
|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
|-------------------------------12/-----------------------------------------------------
|---------------------------------------------5--------7--5--5/7-----------------------
|---------------------------------------0-0------0-0--5--3--5/7-----------------------
|-------------------------------------------------------------3/5----------12/---------

|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
|---------3----------------3--5b-5br--3------3-----------3--5br--3-----------------
|---3-5------5-------3-5------------------5-------5-3-5-----------------------------
|-----------------5----------------------------------------------------------------------

|------------------------------13----------------------------------------------------------2-----
|------------------13----------------------13---------------------------------------------3-----
|---/10-10-12b------12b---------12b--------12br--10---------------------------------2----
|------------------------------------------------------------------5---------7-------5----0-----
|------------------------------------------------------------0-0------0-0---5---0--3------------
|-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The end is not right, but that'S the way I play it, waiting to know the right way to play it :P

George Lynch in last month's Guitar Player shows a way that works for me: striking the string with Index>blunt side of pick> thumb. It works for me.

yeah. that's the bloke that explains them.

also, hold your pick so only a bit of the tip shows. your thumb flesh and pick tip hitting the string at the same time will gie you harmonics. especially if you pick at the right location.

Dogbite, your Norwegianwooden song sounds awesome.
I love your sitar sound.

OK, so I'm off topic (no connection between sitar and squeelies),
Ken

It's the rock that gives the stream its music . . . and the stream that gives the rock its roll.
