If there is a 'slide down' symbol attached to the right side of a note or chord (like this ) , do I play that note for its full duration and slide down at the very end...after it has been played its full duration, or do I start to play that note or chord and start the slide-down almost immediately after initially striking it ?
Thanks in advance...Patrick

Depends on context really, there are no hard and fast rules.

Like Alan just said, it really depends on the song - and even then it's often up to interpretation or personal preference.
