I was looking through some tabs to learn a new song (since I started late I know mainly christmas music.. and then only leads).. and I was looking through the beginners song forum and found Clapton's Tears in Heaven.. not that I will be doing this anytime soon but what is the 0h2 and 2h3p2 in the tabs mean?

I wanna Rock N Roll all night... Ahh who am I kidding I'll be in bed at 9 pm....

The h's refer to hammer-ons and the p's pull-offs.

For the first example you would, strike open string then hammer down on the second fret. = 0h2

For the second you would, fret the second fret...strike string...hammer down on the third fret...and finally release from the third fret while still holding the second fret. = 2h3p2

not that I will be doing this anytime soon

You never know untill you try.

Have fun.
