Hi Guys,

I have read that major and the minor pentatonic scale can be combined in the same solo.
I am wondering, will this combination work over any type of song (rock, blues, folk, country .. ) ?
If not, when can we mix and when can we not.

Thanks,
Vic

if you listen you hear it airly often.

what i do to mix things up is go up with major and back down with minor.

cant be specific as to what song. I do it when the mood strikes or I hear an opening.

You can solo in the minor pentatonic over both major and minor chords, but you can not solo in the major pentatonic over minor chords.
(Well, you can, but it will sound wrong :P )
