Hello
Would anyone be able to help me understand how Eddie does this particular trick on the guitar? The song is 'Fire in the Hole' on the Van Halen 3 album.

To me it sounds like some kind of pick slide with volume swells, but i really have no clue. It's horrible trying to play this song and having to leave out one of the coolest sounding fills hehe.
If anyone can work this out and tell me how to perform it i'd be eternally grateful.

Sounds/looks like a pick scrape & bounce on the strings. You can kinda see him doing it here -
