Silly question maybe (if so spank me and call me Judy)
Was playing a powerchord muted at the neck (with left fingers),
like if you mute other string at the neck wich are marked normally
with x in tabs (not palmmuted 'cause Ididn't knew this one already)
and pushin the strings down if I wanted to play a chord.
Is this a correct way (alternate muting or something?)
or should I try not to do this anymore ???

If I understand you correctly, when you play a chord muted, you lightly press down on the strings just enough to get the muted sound.
