A couple of us pulled out our guitars at a party the other day and my sister asked if we could do Am I Too Blue by Lucinda Williams. None of us knew it enough to play it, and I couldn't find anything on-line, so I thought i'd take a stab at figuring it out. This is it as close as I can tell (the chords are correct, the fills I can't guarantee). On the actual recording, there are more fills, but this is the Easy Song Database, after all

Intro

-1-0-----1-------------------------------------
-----3-1-3—3-1-3-1-----6-----0-----------------
---------2---------2/4---42-------------------
-------------------------------2---2-3-2-0---2-
-------------------------------3-3---------3-3—
-----------------------------------------------

Fill 1
------------
------------
------------
------------
----0-2-3---
--3---------

Fill 2
--1-0--------
------3-1----
----------2--
-------------
-------------
-------------

Fill 3
------1-0--------
--1-3-----3-0-1--
-----------------
-----------------
-----------------
-----------------

N.C. = No Chord
Strum pattern = D DUD DU each measure (so once you get going, two measures would go like this: D DUD DU|D DUD DU|)

Play Intro, then:

N.C. C
Am I too blue for you? (Fill 1)
Dm
Am I too blue? (Fill 2)
G
When I cry like the sky

Like the sky sometime
C
Am I too blue? (Fill 3)

N.C. C
Is the night too black?
Dm
Is the wind too rough?
G
Is it at your back?
C
Have you had enough?

Do you miss my touch?
Dm
Do you wanna stay?
G
Do you have so much
C
Still left to say?

N.C. C
Am I too blue for you? (Fill 1)
Dm
Am I too blue? (Fill 2)
G
When I cry like the sky

Like the sky sometime
C
Am I too blue? (Fill 3)

When you're in the dark
Dm
Do ya call my name?
G
Is there still a spark?
C
Does it feel the same?

C
The sun beats down
Dm
It burns your skin
G C
When you run into, my arms again

N.C. C
Am I too blue for you? (Fill 1)
Dm
Am I too blue? (Fill 2)
G
When I cry like the sky

Like the sky sometime
C
Am I too blue? (Fill 3)

N.C. C
Am I too blue for you? (Fill 1)
Dm
Am I too blue? (Fill 2)
G
When I cry like the sky

Like the sky sometime
C
Am I too blue? (Repeat Intro)

Let me know if you see any problems (I know there's a solo in there I haven't tabbed, but I've reached the limits of my ability - and maybe gone beyond).

Blame it on the lies that killed us, blame it on the truth that ran us down.

Thanks Slydog! Great song, easy and fun. I have her cd with that song and had a very enjoyable night struming along with her.
