This was requested - since we will be playing it live this saturday I should know it... this is how I play it. I have no idea if it *is* correct, but it sounds unmistakely Brown Eyed Girlish... :-)

Opening riff

-0--1--3--1--0----5--6---8--6--5---0--1--3--1--0---------------
-1--3--5--3--1----6--8--10--8--6---1--3--5--3--1---3--0--1--3--
---------------------------------------------------4--0--2--4-
--------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------

C F
Hey where did we go,
C G7
Days when the rains came
C F
Down in the hollow,
C G7
Playin' a new game,
C F
Laughing and a running hey, hey
C G7
Skipping and a jumping
C F
In the misty morning fog with
C G7 F G7
Our hearts a thumpin' and you
C* am
My brown eyed girl,
F G7 C
You my brown eyed girl.

Bass riff:

-----------------------
----------------------
--3--3-3----3--3-3----
---------3----------3-

Whatever happened
To Tuesday and so slow
Going down the old mine
With a transistor radio
Standing in the sunlight laughing,
Hiding behind a rainbow's wall,
Slipping and sliding
All along the water fall, with you
My brown eyed girl,
You my brown eyed girl.

G7 C
Do you remember when we used to sing,
F C G7
Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da

So hard to find my way,
Now that I'm all on my own.
I saw you just the other day,
My how you have grown,
Cast my memory back there, Lord
Sometime I'm overcome thinking 'bout
Making love in the green grass
Behind the stadium with you
My brown eyed girl
You my brown eyed girl

Do you remember when we used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da.

* riff for verse

------8----10--8----7--5---
----8-------------8----5---
--9-----------------------

I've been looking for a decent tab for this for a while now.

I'll give this a go over the holidays.

Many thanks Lars.

Good luck with the gig.

I've had a lot of sobering thoughts in my time.
It was them that turned me to drink.

I use G-C-G-D7 for the verses and then for the chorus I play C-D7-G-Em-C.
I believe that's what I play. I'm at work right now, sans-guitar, so I can't try it.

^ seems like we're spot-on in different keys then - you in G me in C. Yours is easier obviously - no barres.

You can use a "D-D-U-U-D-U" pattern for the entire song. Very easy pattern to sing along with!
