D G/D D Bm D E9 (hit low E string)
Born a poor young country boy Mother Nature's son
A D/A A D/A A D/A A D/A D Dm G/D D
All day long I'm sitting singing songs for everyone

All, this is an excerpt from Mother Nature's Son (a song done by a guy named Paul).
I just about have the song down except for the “All day long….” Part. I can't switch
From the “A” the D/A fast enough? And, every tab I see for this part seems to different.
Anyone have a quick and dirty way to do this?

Also, the D/A could be the "D" chord with the open A string. Or:
D/A: x 0 4 2 3 0

Again, every tab I see is different.

Just play the open D chord but include the open A and D strings instead of just the open D.

In other words the open D chord but strum the bottom 5 strings instead of just the bottom 4 strings.

Play the A with the index on the G string 2nd fret, Middle finger on the D string 2nd fret, and ring finger on the B string 2nd fret. When switching between them leave the index finger in place and move the ring finger to the high e 2nd fret and middle to the B string 3rd fret. Then reverse it. Use the index as a pivot which helps keep your place on the strings.

Nice song!
I have allways played the "all day long" part with A Asus4 x02220 x02230 - works for me - an enternity since I really listened to the original though.
Also, I play Bm/A at th 'Nature's' in the first line

...only thing I know how to do is to keep on keepin' on...
