Great little song this one from the pen of John

Here is the intro

Now you need a kind of laboured strum for this one to give the feel of being tired I use a dduud strum cutting the first up strum off very quickly.

The rest of the song follows this pattern

Very nice. Seen a number of charts using Eaug instead of Amaj7 on the third line (same notes of Amaj7 except no A) but this works just as well. I think it's all a voicing choice since people find it easy to go from x07650 for A to 0765xx for Eaug.

Haven't played this in years and now I want to again! That's the point, no? Thanks!

Thanks David. That's the point, yes!

I use Amaj7 purely for ease as I'm using an open A and its a piece of cake to change to from there. If I was barring the A on the 5th I would probably go the Eaug route.
I have never really tried the A you have shown here but I think I shall give it a go and see how I get on.

Finally got round to trying this out - nice job, Rod.

Might be interesting to work this into a medley with, for instance, Goodnight (off the White Album) and I'm Only Sleeping - just a thought!
