For those of you that are interested he plays a great acoustic version of this live, I think it was David Hodge that said Weller is a great user of chords, in imaginiative ways, and this is very true. For best effect this is played and sung after 40 Marlboroughs (junior members note this is a joke!!!).
A few notes. On the live version he does quite a bit of hammering on and pulling off, particularly on the G chord - I think he is hammering his finger on the second fret A string each time he plays this chord. Also, try and accentuate the bass strings when strumming this, only get the treble strings on the DUDU bit.

Looks good - thanks for that one...im a bit of a weller fan but often find his chords a little bit complicated - this seems fairly straight forward though and like you say would be a nice one to sing along on the acoustic...if you've got any more of his stuff i'd be interested...
