Vic has brought up this tune in many a thread. One of my favs. I see chord progressions all over the place, but am too new (i guess) to figure out the strumming pattern all by myself.

hi mate i tried it a few times and while i'm not so sure about all chord changes I can tell you that it works well with a classic

D/du/u/du pattern

so it is 1, 2 &, &, 4&

the main feature of the pattern is that you have to miss the third beat downstrum (play only an upstrum on treble strings) so that the resulting soun would be something like "ton-ta-ton-ta-ta-ta" for each measure.

If you find it a bit too difficult to play, it just use a simpler D/du/du/du (1, 2 &, 3&, 4&), it will work the same

Try it and let me know

Cheers

Matteo

Dead Flowers. another awesome tune. it is so much fun to play.

in D major. G and A are the other chords.

a nice little thing they do when in D is to lift the middle finger from the E string (when forming the D).
strum the chord with that open E twice. then put the finger back .it gives that essential feel to the song.
