All the internet tabs dont seem to be quite right. I know its in E and i have figured out some, but the end of the chorus and the bridge I cant seem to quite get right. Does anyone know the correct way to play this song?

This one is rather accurate i think
Capo on 4th sounding E

Ev'rybody knows
F G
That Baby's got new clothes
F Em Dm C G7

Have fallen from her curls.
C Em Dm F

C Em Dm F
she makes love just like a woman, yes she does,
C Em Dm F
And she aches just like a woman,
G7sus4 G7 G7sus2 G7 C [famous fill]
but she breaks just like a little girl.

Good one Lars, I will have to have a go at this one. One of my favourite Dylan songs..
Be excellent to each other & party on dudes!

One of my favourite Dylan songs too - although I must admit I prefer Manfred Mann's version! (But only just!)
A friend of mine always plays this in Drop D with a capo on the 2nd fret.....over to you, Mattguitar!
Manfred Mann almost made a living from covering Dylan songs in the 60's (and Manfred Mann's Earthband were still doing it well into the 70's - "You Angel You" was a hit about 78 or so!) - mind you , is there a major band or artist who didn't cover a Dylan song? (Can't think of any Beatles Dylan covers.....)

Glad you like it!
Looking at it, I realised I don't play it like this...
Instead of
F Em Dm C G7
But lately I see her ribbons and her bows
Am C F G7sus4 G7 G7sus2 G7
Have fallen from her curls.
I play
am am/G F C dm G7
But lately I see her ribbons and her bows
Am F G7sus4 G7 G7sus2 G7
Have fallen from her curls.
Dunno which one is best - guess I have tabbed it myself long before Internet was invented ;) I think my initially posted version stems from dylanchords - always good tabs over there (well, used to be - think he's still closed)
oh, and the G7sus4 G7 G7sus2 G7 is played
330001
320001
300001
And: I play the em dm in the chorus with am barre on 7th/5th fret. Think it sounds the best that way.
Then the only additional thing you need is an E harp w/rack (if you insist on the capo, I often for simplicity do it in C)

Now that does help......:D:D:D

I think the best ever version was from Richie Havens, at the 30 year anniversary concert. if any one has the tab (open D) it would be appreciated.
