Thought I would celebrate my 100th post with this Beatles' classic! Not too hard to play. (Probably the hardest part to play is Riff 1 . . .but that's just me.)
Riff 2 is the signature "yeah, yeah, yeah" sound. I've seen tabs where the D string includes a walkdown from the 5th, 4th to 3rd fret. I've opted to hold the D string constant on the 2nd fret for two reasons. (1) the 2nd "chord", xx4002, doesn't sound quite right to me; and more importantly (2) the riff comes after an Em chord in all cases but once, where it comes after a G chord. It is much simpler to play the riff by holding on to the Em shape and dropping the ring finger to the 3rd fret of the e string, then moving it to the 2nd fret, then lifting it. Likewise, the ring finger is already on the 3rd fret of the e string when forming the G chord and one can easily move the index and middle fingers to the Em position.
Selected chord shapes are as follow:
G6: 320030
A7: x02020
D+: xx0332
Em7: 022030
Bm: x04432
Gotta' love that G6!
If you are a Beatle fan, I dare you to play this without a smile forming on your face :D

Brilliant job Shug.
I'm really going to have to improve on my efforts at changing from Em7 to Bm, but I must say I didn't find riff 1 difficult at all.
What I am struggling with though is the vocals :D :D :D
Congrats on your 100th
Rod.
Be excellent to each other & party on dudes!
