Here a fun song. And you can change, and add to it to make it more exciting.
I like to do a full strum than pick some notes within the chord for the Em,A, than single strum for D, A, than full strum and pick for the Em.
And I am working on a little riff also.

I always liked when Phoebe played. Anyone who's spent much time at open mics can relate. It's so bad it's good!
William Hung has nothing on Phoebe!

If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis
Bull, my daughter - Kayleigh - says to thank you for this. I used to watch friends with her - used to say to her, "If you're going to watch telly, at least watch something that was written by an intelligent human"...it was fun way back then but sadly deteriorated over the last couple of years........but that theme tune is still a good 'un!!!
I have 2 smelly dogs - but they are going to the poodle parlour next week..........
"Sometimes the beauty of music can help us all find strength to deal with all the curves life can throw us." (D. Hodge.)
Ah, Smelly Cat...I'm not ashamed to say that was the first 'song' I learned to play on the guitar. They have the chords on a Friends webpage somewhere.
"You're the color of the sky reflected in each storefront windowpane...."

What's the strumming pattern/rhythm?
Is it just downstrums?
Heh, this is an awesome song. Here's a clip of her playing it:

And of course, the rock video version:

From the coffee shop video, I actually think she's playing it in E major. :) And Lisa Kudrow tends to just strum downstrokes with her thumb, but obviously it can be embellished.

After spending an embarrassing amount of time watching the video clip over and over and listening, I can say Phoebe is definitely playing E major instead of Em - after all it's a happy song. :)
Oh, and here's Chris Isaac playing it with Phoebe:

I think he's embellishing a couple of the chords, but I'm not sure...
