That's nice, do you know how to play the rest of it?
Do you got the words, and where to change the chords?

GN has this Riff also.

I would like to know how to play the whole song myself.

Do you know the strumming?  Any help you can give will be great.

Hi!
I thought that this was enough for a begginer... just a trick to play, but not a whole song
I will listen to the cd and figure out the rest of the song...
But the complicated part   the solos and the stuff.. im not good at tabbing it...
its an easy song... the chors are pretty simple, but the techniques are complicated
So.. give me some time and i'll get it here
Thanks for reading!

About the strumming...
I could record and upload some mp3 with some stuff that could help
Do you know somewhere to upload it?

Re: mp3's

I don't think guitar noise will host the mp3's you make.  However, I'll be happy to host them and put direct links to the mp3's in a subsequent message.

Just send the mp3's to jmmurray@indiana.edu.

Cheers,
James

Thanks Jmmurray! I'll send them to you soon!

The main riff is
G5         Bb5       C5
G5    Bb5   C#5  C5
G5         Bb5       C5
Bb5       G5
The second part of the intro goes
G5         Bb5        Bb5        G5 Bb5      G5 Bb5 Bb5
G5         Bb5        Bb5        G5 Bb5--> dive down if you got a floyd rose tremolo

The rest of the song is easy to play...
The verses are
We all came out to Montreux on the Lake Geneva shoreline
G5                          G5                                F5         G5
And the "smooooooooooooke on the waaaaaater" part (bridge?) is
               C5                                      Bb5

You can finger the chords easier with only the three top strings.
F5 (133xxx)
G5 (355xxx)
Bb5 (688xxx)
C5 (8.10.10xxx)
C#5 (9.11.11xxx)
This are the easiest, accurate chords to play this song
Really nice song

About the strumming... all are downstrokes... I cant explain it... I just feel it! Try to do the drumm on the table with your pick, then... do the same rythm on the strings (muted with your left hand), and the... do the same while fingering the chords
Hope I got some good mp3 to explain it very soon... Im now at work...

I just posted this for the fun of it.
I think what you are trying to say here is to use a Em barre chord, up and, down the neck, as shown.
I think this lesson is almost there.  Just a little more work to put in all the words and the chords changes, and you will have it.
If you want to put in the up and down strokes, I'll bet no one will complain.
Thank you so much for helping us out with this- Bull
