A pretty simple song, and seasonal. I love the B minor - if a song has that, I pick it up!
I find it is easier and more colorful to go from the C through a D7 to the G, in some places.
And sorry, here on preview to submit, the chords get scrunched, but you can find the changes.

G D C G
The first Noel the angel did say,
C Bm C D G
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay;
G D C G
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
C Bm C D G
On a cold winters night that was so deep

Chorus:
G Bm C G D
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
C Bm C D G
Born is the King of Is-rael.

Other verses:
They looked up and saw a star,
Shining in the East, beyond them far;
And to the earth it gave good light;
And so it continued both day and night.

This star drew nigh to the North West,
O'er Bethlehem it took its rest,
And there it did stop and stay,
Right over the place where Jesus lay.

Then enter'd in there Wise Men three
Full rev'rently on bended knee,
And offered there in His presence
Their gold and myrrh and frankincense.

to ONE and ALL! :note2:

Like a bird on the wire,
like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.

Bluejay, if you want to write a song out with the chords above the lyrics, and you don't want the chords to "scrunch up," there's a VERY easy fix - write the song out in Notepad, or Word, then use the "Code" option - that way, everything you write will come up exactly the way you wrote it.

I'll stick this one in the Song Title index as "First Noel, The..." and in the index by artist, I'll put it under "Traditional." OK?

:D :D :D
