This song made famous by the Beatles was actually written by the Isley Brothers. Must give credit where credit is due.
I believe the Beatles recorded this in the key of A, but I have tabbed it in the key of C. This song is very easy to play.
The solo is also played using the same chord forms. Simple but effective.
I may have the name of the final chord wrong. This chord might be a little difficult, but with practice it is easy. Great sounding final chord.
The chorus and outro are exactly the same except the chorus excludes the G7 chord. Notice how the highest note you hit in the chord copies the vocal melody line.

The guitar is all right John but you'll never make a living out of it! (John Lennon's Aunt Mimi)
If i can make a suggestion here....that C6-9 chord is a total ******* to play.....
It might be easier, in that final run, to play the G5 to B5 as tabbed, then, for the C5 play
E A D G
8 10 10 9
Then for the final chord play a C7 like this...
E A D G B E
8 10 8 9 11 8
Not a huge difference, and it only involves taking your pinky off the D string and putting it on the B string....
Thanks again Wes, great stuff mate!!! Look forward to more .... can't really comment on Dirty Water, because I don't know the song....but keep 'em coming!!!

It's a whole lot easier if you just do it in the key that the Beatles did it in here...

Music "Theory"? "It's not just a theory, it's the way it is!"

It seems the final chord is abandoned for a C7 - but with your original suggestion - that sounds really good - the correct notation should be C6/9 shouldn't it? C6-9 reads dimisished 9 (C#) to me.
