So, finally I decided to learn music theory again. I've stop somewhere.. I don't know, it was too mess and boring. I got plenty of stuff which I printed from the Internet and I don't know where to start again. There are too much stuff here and there. I don't know where to start. Could you please give me some idea and how do I learn it properly without feeling boring again. Thanks.
Hum..
Do you remember the, - W,W,H,W,W,W,H?
From the Major scale you can figure out –
Chords –
Major – 1-3-5
Minor – 1-b3-5
7th – 1-3-5-b7
Major 7th – 1-3-5-7
Minor 7th – 1-b3-5-b7
Suspended – 1-4-5
Suspended 7th – 1-4-5-b7
Scales –
Major Pentatonic – 1-2-3-5-6-1
Minor Pentatonic – 1-b3-4-5-b7-1
Major Scale – 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-1
Blues Scale – 1-b3-4-b5-5-b7-1 (Minor Pentatonic + b5)
From the major scale you have three possible relative minor scales.
Natural minor = 1-2-b3-4-5-b6-b7-1
Harmonic minor = 1-2-b3-4-5-b6-7-1
Melodic minor ascending = 1-2-b3-4-5-6-7-1
Melodic minor descending = natural minor
