Going through my grandpa's records I found a Santo and Johnny from 59'. I love any music w/ a steel guitar so I played it. Immediately I recognized "sleepwalk" as its been in alot of commercials and covered by Ritchie Valens among others. So I found some tabs for it and have been working on an arrangement of my own. Recording the syncopated rythym chords then "trying" to play the steel lead over them. Its hard to get a tele to capture the slides and bends of a steel but its alot of fun. Anyways, I play a couple of chords at the end and I was hoping someone could tell me what these chords are:

E A D G B e

9 8 6 6 6 6

12 12 11 12 12 12

Thinkin' bout the times we had
Some were good and some were bad
guitar fightin' the tv
i was thinkin bout you and me

C# E# G# C# E# A# - C#6 (or Db6 if you prefer)

E A C# G B E - A9(/E) (works pretty much as em6 too)

With all those 6ths, I wonder if he used a 6th steel tuning?

Probably, huh?

According to the tab I have (OK, OK, so it may be totally wrong) he tuned to open G sharpened by a 1/2 step (D#, G#.....).

I started with nothing - and I've still got most of it left.
Did you know that the word "gullible" is not in any dictionary?
