Okay, so I've only been playing since Thanksgiving playing a few chords in the first position. I've been trying different strum patterns using G major, E minor, and D major. Some of them sound pretty dang good. I don't think I've heard them before but; how do you know if it's been done before? It's so simple, I would think so but can't place it.

G W Roach (Don't BUG me while I'm practicing!)

I don't think a strum pattern can be copyrighted, and if you
are just playing for yourself you won't violate any copyright laws.

at some point somewhere someone will have written a song with exactly the same pattern, its just a matter of probability. just make sure the words are different and your ok
